The Center for Assistive Technology offers Research, Education and Service in Assistive Technology at the University at Buffalo. Since they sponsor this site along with the Western New York Regional TRAID Center, a lot of thought went into choosing quality assistive technology resources for this page. More assistive technology projects at CAT include Assistive Technology Training Online (ATTO)- This is a GREAT site written by our own Sue Mistrett. Free, online training in assistive technology for students with disabilities, focusing on adaptive computing. For a great crash course in Assistive Technology, check out the AT Basics: Info from the awesome Assistive Technology Training Online site.

Other CAT sponsored projects related to assistive technology include the RERC on Technology Transfer and AZtech, A to Z Assistive Technology (this is actually a corporation that formed as CAT saw a need to help small inventors get their assistive devices manufactured and marketed.)

If you can't find what you are looking for, please check under the specific disability pages (i.e. hearing, vision, mobility) or use the search function at the top of the page to search the hundreds of full-text articles in our archives!
